Biography

Growing up Creed was greatly influenced by his families love for music, especially by his late Grandfather Virgil Mullins. He sang traditional Bluegrass, and played the mandolin, along with his mother Darlene & her only brother, Virgil Terry (Rick) Mullins, who played the guitar and also sang. It was there he first discovered his love for music, singing, & songwriting, and it has played the leading role in his life ever since the early age of three.

Creed gave his life to Christ when at eleven, and was baptized the same year and then penned his first song in 1988 titled “We Will Rise” Little did he know, he would be asked to play piano & guitar an to sing with his grandparents quartet “The Jericho Travelers” at the age 12. Growing up in Huntington he made his way all across West Virginia, Kentucky & Ohio to the back road country churches, where he learned of God’s love, & mercy while he honed his “Southern Gospel Roots”

Creed eventually made his way to Nashville in the late 90’s as most musicians have, knocking down the doors on music row. Not finding the success of a record deal, he came back to West Virginia and made the move to pursue a higher education so he attended Marshall University, for two years for business marketing, and Nashville still on his mind he decided to transfer to Middle Tennessee State University, just outside the Nashville city limits majoring in audio engineering and music law. College still wasn’t fulfilling what he was called to do. However he did get a call but not from somebody he expected; Grand ole Opry Star Jack Greene called and asked him to play piano on the road. Little did Jack know, Creed grew up listening to Greene’s records that his parents played and he already knew all of Greene’s greatest Hits. Greene was impressed so he paved a way for him to also play with numerous professional Country & Gospel artists, from; Jeannie Seeley, Jan Howard, and Jean Shepard from the Grand Ole Opry, to The Gospel Harmony Boys & the Royal Heirs. With over 500 Country, Christian & Gospel songs written and thousands of performances ranging from 400 to 40,000 across the US.
